Md. Sharwar Hossain is a seasoned finance and audit professional with more than twenty-five years of diversified experience in finance, accounts, taxation, internal audit, compliance, and corporate management. He possesses strong expertise in financial reporting, fund management, budgeting, taxation, donor reporting, internal control systems, and audit management across corporate, development, and financial sectors. He currently serves as the Head of Finance & Accounts at Herbs & Health Laboratories Limited, where he leads the organization’s financial strategy, budgeting, taxation, auditing, and financial risk management functions. Prior to this, he worked for over a decade with Quasem Group as AGM (Tax & Audit), overseeing corporate tax compliance, internal audit operations, financial reporting, inventory verification, and liaison with tax authorities. Sharwar also held key finance and audit positions at PIACT Bangladesh, Saudi-Bangladesh Industrial and Agricultural Investment Company Ltd. (SABINCO), and BRAC, gaining extensive experience in internal audit, project finance, donor-funded programs, financial controls, and organizational compliance. He completed his Chartered Accountancy training from B. Alam & Co., holds an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and is a part-qualified Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh. He is also a certified Income Tax Practitioner recognized by the National Board of Revenue. His areas of expertise include financial management, taxation, internal audit, compliance, budgeting, donor reporting, corporate governance, and management consulting.
